Help please!WTF did i do?
I posted this also in the elecrical board cause I`m not sure what my problem is.I pulled the passenger side valve cover to adjust a valve.I had to remove the breather and the plug wires,The valve cover is kinda hard to get off and there are some wires from the coil and distributer back there too.Started the car to adjust the valve which i still hadnt gotten around to yet cause now the car wont crank. It turns over but will not crank.Well it did once the first time I tried and died after about 30 seconds.I then realized i forgot to reconnect the plug wires. No biggie.so i reconected them and still wont start.Double checked and same result.Put everything back on the way it was....same peoblem.I pulled all the plugs I could get to from the top,2&4,And they dont looked fouled but cleaned them up and still want start.I cant find any wires or anything unplugged except for one two pronged plug that is dirty like its been unplugged for a while and i cant find where it would plug into.I cant really make heads or tales from all the wires but the coil and distributer are still hooked up and the injecters appear to be as well.I`m stumped.Any ideas. Thanks

so it turns over but just wont fire? are you sure the plug wires are back in the right order? make sure non of the connections are loose, maybe try some starting fluid to see if that will at least get it going if not then you know you put something back on wrong since it wont get spark

The plugs wires are numbered and so are the terminals on the cap.I rechecked it like 4 times.Even if they were in the wrong order wouldnt start and just run like crap?

Re: Help please!WTF did i do?
k.i.s.s. keep it simple stupid. Air, fuel, spark, compression. Which one is missing.
I am willing to bet its not compression? though maybe
fuel: is the pump priming? Are the injectors pulsing? Is the fuel pressure at the rail? Are the plugs sparking? at the right time? Is the distributor rotor working correctly? As in the two bolts that hold it on are they still doing so, like maybe one broke and the rotor is floping around? take the cap off and see.
Put some starter fluid in the throttle body and see if it will fire up. Maybe its cold start problem? If it doesnt start then you have a ignition timing problem like firing at the wrong time nor fire at all? It should itleast fire up with the alternative fuel source. Or maybe the plugs are junk? replace them and see. they are probably many more real issues but here are some to check and verify. I would do a complete compression check while your at it. I dont like to guess.

could be flooded, hold the gas pedal all the way down and crank it, this will shut the injectors off, besure to let off quick if it catches!

Re: Help please!WTF did i do?
must be something simple. you must have unpluged something while you were working. recheck to make sure the coil is plugged up correctly. just recheck any wires you may have moved.
wish i could offer more but it must be something like that. Good Luck!
