Re: Cruise control removal

under hood stuff,.with that switch on the brake pedal. not worried about the turn single arm, just the rest of it
isnt there something ill need to make my speedo work?
(mine doesnt now, but it will soon i hope lol)
The switch thats on the brake pedal broke and was replaced with one form an 83 but after it was swapped the speedo stopped working, I dont use cruise at all so i want it gone and see if that fixes the speedo issue and if not start trackin it down to fix it

Not if it's the '86 stuff.

If it's the older cable-driven governor, you'll need a cable for a non-governor cable-driven speedometer. Otherwise, just take the unit out.

Re: Cruise control removal

Yeah its not the cable driven gauge, its electrical.
Could that cruise switch on the brake padel make some how make the speedo not work? Possibly the wrong one beingits from 83 or something?

Re: Cruise control removal

Doesnt sound fun, you should get a 84 speedo and covert it with a one piece cable to the transmission. Btw weird seeing people from mnfbody on here

Re: Cruise control removal

lol i know, i figured i might as well start posting here as well being i hadnt been here since i owned my 85
I got the tranny parts for a mech speedo, I had a gauge but broke the needle the other day and i need to find a cable. Might just get a Autometer gauge
How hard is it to get the tranny parts installed and stuff to convert it?
