strut tower brace. the short valve covers could manipulated fairly easy without taking the stb off. but with the tall covers and the stud girdles on it was almost impossible to get them off without removing everything.

Tall valve covers will fit, you just have to watch if you still have your emissions equipment on the passenger side because the box with the air pump will not fit. I ended up cutting the metal pipe that goes to the emissions pump and using a rubber hose to extend the box higher to clear the valve cover.

Re: tall valve covers do they fit?

i have already pulled out all my emissions stuff and plugged up my AIR line on my headers so that wont be a problem. so it sounds like they will work without any problems. i dont have a strut brace but i plan on getting one in the future when i get around to my suspension list. so that will be a problem later. but hopefully once the strut brace is on i will be done for a while pulling valve covers. one reason i chose to stay hydrauic flat tappet when i picked my cam.

Re: tall valve covers do they fit?

Technically they fit. I ended up trimming my wiper gear box in order to make install and removal a bit easier. Couldn't seem to find a smaller setup that would fit our cars.

Mine fit fine.
The wiper motor is snug, but that's about it.

not to jack your thread.. but kinda goes with the subject..

Has anyone tried the proform 2pc tall valve covers? They look a little bigger than regular v/c.
