89' IROC 350 tpi won't start

I recently bought an 89' IROC 350 tpi. The problem I'm having is the car will not start back up for about 5-10 mins after turning off. I have recently replaced the fuel pump and fuel pump relay after having no juice to fuel pump. If I try to start the car immediately after shutting it off it acts like it is flooded and the fuel pump does not kick on, I sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body and it ran for a second but would not stay running. If I leave it off 5-10 mins later the fuel pump comes on w/ the key it will start and run fine until it is shut off again. I also tried unplugging the MAF sensor to see if that was my problem but it did not change anything. I was wondering if this problem could have anything to do w/ my burnoff or MAF relays. I'm stumpped, please help. Thanks

The only similar problem I have experienced was due to a coil after it became warmed. This was not on a Camaro. The symptoms were similar, engine warmed and the coil got hot and would not fire the engine until it cooled. Yours fired with starting fluid so that may negate a coil issue. Check the spark when it refuses to fire and see if the arc is hot. Tossing this in to keep your thread going also.
Good luck with it.

Well if it started on starter fluid it isnt a ignition issue. However when you say it acts like its flooded why do you say that? I also dont think it has anything to do with the MAF set up as by disconnecting the MAF sensor its ignored anyways. Do you have any trouble codes? Also when if dies if you held the throttle down and tried to start it would it start then?

No, and it still wouldn't start. I also replaced the fuel pump again today w/ a new one from autozone. (other one was used) Now, it will start but only run for about 30 sec then die and will not restart. My car also has MSD ignition and coils. I'm not sure on the trouble codes.

Well today, I decided to replace the fuel pump w/ a new one from Autozone (previous one was used) Now the fuel pump comes on everytime I turn the key on, but the car will start and only run for a few seconds then die out and not restart like its not getting any fuel. I also have MSD ignition and coils on the car. Could I have an injector problem? I also bought a new fuel filter I'm replacing tommorow. Still stumpped.

No, going to rent the tool to check fuel pressure tommorow...also going to pull the plugs to check for injecter leak. Would it cause it not to start if 1 injector is leaking or bad?
