So after i fixed the heater core. My ac will blow down by the passenger feet area. It will not blow out the normal ac vent. I have the cover for the heater core currently off. But even when i put the cover back on the heater core it now blocks the ac from coming out the feet area. What gives. Im i blocking the door for the ac vent. Need help fast. It hot outside.

 

You might have knocked a vacuum line off one of the actuator diaphrams when you were under the dash.

 

Damn. That sounds like a needle in a hay stack to find.

 

Not really, there are only approximately 4 possibilities.

alright so I narrowed it down to what the problem is. Its the vent doors. I held the vent door that is on the inside of the dash open with some wire and it blew out the vents out to the interior. But when I throw the lever to make it blow on the windshied it still comes out the same vent facing the interior. So its in the lever and vent doors behind the dash. Any ideas.

 

I read that 90-92 cars use vacuum operated ac doors. Maybe I hit something underthere. Anyone have a diaphram of this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

anyone know where this vacuum line plugs into.

 

The elbow plugs into a hard plastic vac line that goes into the inside of the car to run the HVAC doors.
Those little rubber lines need 2 be replaced.
