Metal tinging noise coming from front of motor? (SOLVED)
So over the last several days I have noticed this sound originating from the front of my motor. This noise started off faint but has now become a constant noise.
It sounds as if a bracket or something metal is bouncing into a pulley, but there is nothing flopping around down there that would be an obvious cause to this noise...
I had the TPS sensor unplugged when I filmed the video so the rpms would be up and the noise would be noticeable.. At idle the noise doesn't occur anywhere near like it does when driving.

Any ideas?

sounds strongest around the pulley area-try running it with the belts off and see if you get the noise...

Really sounds like one of those pulley bearings is bad, I would guess water pump.

I just had the water pump replaced with a brand new one less than 1k miles ago... I really hope it's not the crank pulley going out...

To the.... sway bar or the to the hood....
Waaa waaa waaa
Could be any number of things. timing chain hitting the cover, balancer coming apart hitting the cover a loose anything from the waterpump swap.
As said before, pull belts one at a time and see if you can narrow it down.

Re: Metal tinging noise coming from front of motor? (VIDEO)
Turns out the noise was being caused by the power steering pump belt. Considering I don't have a belt on my AC compressor (doesn't work ATM) I didn't pay close enough attention during my header swap, and put the power steering belt in the wrong grooves. (The belt was still straight, but just moved up a notch instead of where it originally sat) Once I put the belt back to where it was supposed to go and tightened it up, the noise went away.
