I have a 87 TPI Iroc Camero that was running fine and then sat for over a year and now wont start. It has fuel up to the rails and it will start if I squirt fuel in the intake but then dies. It runs as long as long as I spay fuel in the intake. I am getting fuel up to the TPI but that is as far as it goes. What would be the most common thing and so forth. Thank you

 

Did it have stale fuel in it ?

 

All the fuel was drained and it has fresh fuel all the way to the rails, The fuel pump is also in good condition with good pressure.

 

Injector pulse checked with a noid light ?
Have you tested actual fuel pressure ?

 

I would guess your injectors are not functioning. Like tuned said check to make sure you have injector pulse.

 

I will pick up a noid light and check that tonight, I did a ohm test and had 17.1 at all injectors except one which was 20.1 but will check with a noid light and post my findings. Thanks for the fast reply's guys

 

I picked up a noid light and I am NOT getting a pulse to the injectors. Not sure why it would lose pulse from just sitting as it ran fine before.

 

It might be the icm regardless that you have spark. The purple/white wire that goes to the ecm controls injector pulse. Check your injector fuses.

 

it's an FI issue. i had rats chew the wires on my 86 bronco. pissed me right off. i din't notice at first and replaced both fuel pumps. the entire harness was destroyed feeding electricity to the injectors.
