Wondering if certain parts will work together
I'm about to start working on a 1984 Berlinetta Starship Edition with a carbonated 305, but want to put on a TPI. I was wondering if anyone knew if the 350 TPI module would work on a 305. I'm new to the terminology so I apologize for my lack of knowledge lol

Your best bet for now is to do some reading in the stickies here:TPI - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards and try to get yourself up to speed a little bit.

TPI itself is exactly identical in every way between the 305 & 350, except for the injectors, the PROM, and the knock sensor.
The angle that the center 2 intake bolts on each side go into the heads changed in 87, so a slight adapting might be required there.

What would happen if I used a 350 PROM on the 305? Just curious.

The fuel and ignition timing curves are different. A 350 won't run as well as it should with the 305 curves. I don't know about the reverse. Probably about the same except in reverse. (where the 305 PROM would make a 350 run lean, a 350 PROM might make a 305 rich, for example)

No.
You'll need the entire harness that goes with the TPI, which will replace the carb one. You'll need the TPI ECM as part of the swap. It's completely different.

As Sofakingdom said, you will need the entire TPI harness and the ECM. Stay away from 85 TPI, it is specific for that year only. 86-89 is Mass Air Flow (MAF). 90-92 is Speed Density (SD). You will also need a Prom specific for the engine you are installing.
Good Luck,
