Well my girlfriend was hungry and we were on our way to Wataburger and I pass the light in front of the mall and i hear VROOOM VROOOOM...and I turn to see a Notchback 5.0, teal green with stickers and ****, and I am like....damn here we go....so he is on the floor catchin up to me and when he gets next to me, i gun it, and my tranny did a nice downshift, broke the tires loose a lil but not too long, and next thing i know...i am screaming past him and his jaw is on his chest, so I get to whataburger and he is still on the street and he burns out and gets on the freeway.....well the next night I am going home and the road is a 4 way, 2 on each side, and this 3rd gen formula 350 pulls up next to me and he revs and downshifts manually, and so do i and we are neck and neck on the downshift but then we shifted into second and i just pulled away......tonight i was driving and going to my friend Poncho's house and i saw another red trans am from school like mine, except not a gta and his has a 305 and his paint is ugly as sin and doesnt turn on too often at school, so i throw a friendly rev at him and he limits his out revvin and i am thinking...what a dumb****, i know he will be lookin at my tail lights, so we get up to a light and the race is about 150 feet shorter than the 1/4 til the next light...so I stall to about 1200 rpm and he does the same, so i'm waiting...and bing! light goes green, and he floors it and his tires dont even break loose!!! nothing, i mean he hooked and he didn't go ANYWHERE!!!!! so i jump on my throttle and I know my tires are gonna break loose all the way til the end of second but I do it anyways and when I hooked third gear I was already in front of him and got to the next light and he was about 2-3 cars behind....and he looks at me with a glare of spite and i rev at him and hop the body...and he just looks back at the light and when it turned green he went his way and I went mine...so I literally spanked him while burning tire past him.....well thats it for a while til I get the stupid tranny mount in from Jeg's......laters you all......AARON

I bought the car about a week ago yesterday, from a cop and he told me at the time it only had a super turbo muffler with no cat, ported plenum, bigger runners, super chip ecm, and when I went back he told me that the gears were swapped from 3.27's to 3.42's.....but my next mods are to get a B&M Shift Kit, Headers ( don't know from who yet though ), flowmaster muffler, ram air intake, AFPR and ported and polished heads with new rockers by April of 2003.....as of now....I don't know what it runs but my buddy has a 95 LT1 and his mods are only a good driver, an auto tranny, and flowmaster muffler, and I keep on his door and on a good day about a fender on him......AARON

 

Yeah, my 305 is like that red firebirds. Can't spin off the line, but if i downshift at 15-20 mph it'll chirp 'em. Good kills especially the Stang. How much was the car, and how many miles?

My car was like that with the auto. It would chirp off the line, but if I downshifted it would spin. Now with the 5-speed, it brakes loose in first, it spins into second, and it gets a little slip in third. This was on 275 drag radials, so there is no chirping, just a loss of traction.

 

hey 5.0, how do you like those DRs? im getting a set in the same size for the Vette, and was wondering how much your 60fts and E/T were affected after installng them?

 

Don't get the B&M shift kit. It does nothing to fix the issues wrong with the 700R4. The transgo kit is the only "real shiftkit".

 

Is the Trans Go shift Kit any good and how will it help my 1/4mile time....., oh and I also have this problem where 4th gear takes a while to go in, I think its cause of the chip my car has....please help...AARON

 

Hehehe I'm on 245 Drags and I hook nicely, but thats the fun of a 5speed!!! I love riding in 2nd slamming on it and breaking em loose. I've intimidated some faster cars cuz theres was auto and they thought I had something fast...pfft. :lala:

 

I think my next set of tires will be the BFG drag radials. The Nitto's are no match for 350 hp, 4.10's, and a 3500 rpm stall converter.

 

With the auto they hooked perfectly, with the stick on the street they don't hook very well. I have yet to run at the track with the stick, but with the AOD the 60 foots barely changed. That Auto was too unpredictable. I think they should hook well at 18 psi, and heated up nicely. I will see if it doesn't rain Sat.
