1992 Firehawk Racecar?
i saw this on ebay. I think it's bs because he didn't post the VIN anywhere. Looks all right though. I wasn't aware there were any "Firehawk Racecars" built. Whatever. Enjoy. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1869030571

so the numbers came stock from the "factory" on this racecar? I thought the guy put them on. If i owned the only surviving Firehawk Racecar i wouldn't race it all the time, paint on it, or sell it for that little. If it is the only one left it should be a little more expensive.

yes that is an actuall firehawk racecar....like the ad said there we 2 racecars that were built...the first one had a t-ram and it was destroyed....the last remaining racecar had a lt1 type intake...it had the full cage and all the decals like pictured ALL from the factory...i have read up on all the firehawk information out there and i assure you this is a AUTHENTIC car...and the "competition package" alone was $10,000 dollars..
Aluminum Hood
Brembo front breaks (same used on the ferrari f-40)
ZF 6 speed transmission
Dana 44 posit rear-end
Fuel cell
Full roll cage
Adjustable suspension
11qt oil system
the only things that were different from the street version to the race version was the cage, and the fuel cell...
this is the THE ONLY FULL RACE FIREHAWK IN EXISTANCE..

i thought u could order a firehawk with a race pkg and seven out of the 25 where optioned with that.. don't forget the lightweight race seats and rear seat delete.. all firehawks got the brembo front breaks and the alum. hood, the 6 speed ZF (i think that there was one or two optioned as auto), dana 44 rear and adjustable suspension..

check out the tail lights?
those arn't firehawk (regular firebird) tail lights...? (they're T/A)
the intake looks like it's a dual carb type ram deal (or even single.. can't tell.. after looking at it for a while, it looks single) with a custom made plenum and manifold (for injectors) .. and it's shinny.. would of figured for a race car it would be dull... who cares about frills...
alternator's on the driver side... thought all firebird v8's (including the hawks) had them on the passanger side..
no.. strut... tower... brace...? and this thing was in the SCCA?.. not that it's a must.. but.. i would of firgured.. even if not equiped by factory.. someobody would of put one in during the last 10 years.
all in all tho, from the mods done to it, it's worth whatever somebody buys it for.. without being stupid about the price.

Car: too many ...
The only thing that strikes me odd was that he said it was stored in a climate controlled room (assuming for collector reasons) but he is now selling it because he lacks time to race it?? Just dosnt make sense!!! My head hurts!!!

so it's not that.
edit: and i'm kinda attached to my formie tail lens.. they make my car look more plain.

Good christ there is allot of misinformation in this thread.
Yes, there were 2 Firehawk race cars built. They were built in addition the other 25 91 and 92 hawks. Both were taken from the production line before cars even got a VIN. They were built by SLP just for road racing.
The car on eBay is the only remaining car ofthe 2. It's owned by Dr. Ron Tribble.
Here is a pic of the car that was destroyed:
Any questions? Ask me, I know all about the cars.....
