I pulled up to the light, and I saw what I think is a 95ish boss mustang. I didn't rev or anything, and I took off on the green. I wasted him at the start, but I heard him coming up closer with each shift, and he eventually passed me in third or fourth. I think I did pretty good for a 305 though. Any one know what kind it was? It was red with silver slanted stripes (didn't get a good look at it, light turned green fast).

 

The "Boss" Mustang from those years was nothing but badges on a GT. He could have been 100% stock, or very modded, the stripes mean nothing.

 

Yeah, that's what I thought. It did sound like it had exhaust, cause I could definitely hear him coming up.

 

if u had him until 3rd or 4th doesnt that mean u beat him in the 1/4 mile? nice win

It depends on his gears. With 2.73s he would finish the 1/4 just in 3rd, and maybe even 2nd if he traps slow. If he has 4.10s, he would finish the 1/4 at the top of 4th. You might have won, but the only way to know is go to the track.

 

i say good kill... u had him when u were in 3 to 4th with ur 305... good kill... ill give it to ya... rack up another win for the 305

 

If you said you didn't rev or anything and just took off on the green, maybe he didn't know you were racing until he saw you take off. If he did, then nice job.
