if i recall correctly they run somewhere in the neighborhood of 14.8-9 stock, not to bad for a 4cyl stock eco. car.

I agree with the last post. That's a 16 second car. I drove one, and it's a PITA to drive hard. The shifter feels sluggish, the clutch engages way to quick, and it gets 0 traction, even with the posi diff. The only thing I can say about it was that it handled well, was quiet, fun to drive, no torque steer, and you can't beat it for the money at 20,000 fully loaded.

The Mazda 6 gets my vote for best "sports" car in the $20,000 range. The 200 HP V6 had good midranged torque, the suspension was tight, while the car still rode comfortably. Much better than the GTS Eclipse.

A friend of mine has a Spec V Sentra Se R. It's nimble and quick for what it is. The thing is a low 16's high 15's.
I'd take it on in my 305TPI Trans-AM any day of the week.

for low 20's i'd have to take the srt4 ugly yes but ever magazine thats tested has managed a 14.1 or better and i hear it is quite nimble as well since it smokes anything in its class except the evo8 and sti both over 30 you gotta take the srt4 but i'll take an fbody over it anyday
