Spanked a 5.0
I ran a 5.0 mustang GT the other day at a local street racing spot. He was running skinnies in the front other than that I didn't know what else he had. We both did burn outs and the guy lined us up. I spun a little but it grabbed and I put maybe 3-4 four cars on him. Its was a pretty easy race.

I like torque!! Man if my LB9 made as much TQ as the L98 I'd be in business. Not too say it doesn't make a decent amount!

Look out for the 5.0 5-Speed fox bodies there quick little buggers. They will fight an L98 to the end stock vs. stock if they can shift.

If you shift a l98 at the right time they run well. Buddy ran a 8.7 in the 1/8th with headers and lca relocation brackets. Another buddy ran a 8.9 in a 91 GT 5 speed with bbk headers, off-road h-pipe, flows, 3.73s and a k&n....

I'll give you a hint why I beat the 5.0, I run a 1.7 60 ft. Not the best but good enough to get alot of cars off the line.

Yeh really a 1.7 is a neck snapping time you must be deep into the 13's with a 60ft time like that. My friends 04 GT ran a 14.1 with a 2.2 60 ft. What do you have done to your car?

To answer the question I run the same setup on the street as I do on the track. I'm really tryin to keep it a true street strip car.
