Number one i know what i am talking about when come to these particular cars that because me, MustbeatMopar, and transram88 were the only ones on the board that saw 'em.... Not all ricers are bad....The one that have the most rediculous crap on them are the ones i dont like (ie Gaint spoiler, rediculous graphic or writings) Something like that kid in the focus that raced MustbeatMopar (he's got a 160,000 mile 3.1 that runs bad)...The kid had Honda VTEch now will somebody just tell us DID the integra come with it, what are the stats and what might transram88 have to do to beat'em... That all So STU if you are so knowledgable help us out...i wont be a D*** to anymore......
o yea i donno if the focus counts as ****, but still rediculous!

i'll have a rematch set up soon.....
You'll have to get the trim model of the Integra to find out, and the motor has to be stock. You can't just assume that a swap is just that simple, like your cars, there are almost infinite possibilities of motor combinations.
If the Integra was stock, and I'm assuming 94-2001 (two round head lights on each side) then the motor possibilties are:
RS/GS/LS ---> B18B1 -- 140 hp
GS-R ---------> B18C1 -- 170 hp
Type R -------> B18C5 -- 195 hp
Who knows what mods he had done though. If it was an intake, header, full exhaust, and high flow cat, you can safely assume 15-20 hp in addition to those numbers, those numbers are from the crank mind you.

heh....all i know is that he had a DOHC Vtec...he wouldn't tell me any more.....and my cars is a slight bit faster than the average 305.
There we go, i'm starting to feel the love
There we go, i'm starting to feel the love
Motors that have DOHC V-TEC could be:
GS-R B18C1
Type R B18C5
Si B16A
Civic Type R from Japan B16B (I think)
Prelude SH? H-22 (I think there are more)
RSX/Si the K-series motors in the RSX Type-S and the new Civic Si
I don't know, there are so many motors I can't keep up with them all. It could have been an LS/VTEC for all I know. An LS/VTEC is a better flowing VTEC head mated to the slightly larger displacement LS block for better torque with still high revving capabilities.
The S2000 of course, as well as the NSX. (There exists a CRX with a rear mounted NSX that was running 9's on the shake down runs shortly after it was built)
I'll tell everyone on the board this though, the B-series motors are already going out of style. The K-series honda motors are litterally the LS1s of Honda. If you are able to identify that type of motor, and it's in a car that is NOT a year that came with it, then you need to watch out. If it's turbo, then you big guys need to watch your back as well. Those motors don't mess around. This is not to say that EVERY K-series motor will blow your doors off, because they won't, but in the right persons hands it can and will.
Oh yeah, unless the car is stripped and on Nitrous, superchargers are weak sauce on such small motors. The only fast cars I've seen with superchargers are S2000s mid to low 13's at my altitude, and my friend's stripped Si running 13 psi and nitrous. I think his best time up here was like a 12.8 or 13.1 or something with slicks before the transmission ate third gear toward the end of this last season. Without a driver, his car weighed 1995 lbs. He's building a turbo K-series motor to put in a lighter car in the year/s to come and I fully expect at least 11's out of this car at a mile above sea level. I'll keep you updated if anyone would like to see his progress.

I was cruising back form a Church function and I spotted a lowered typical "Sport Compact" - a Honda Civic, basically. he had some gages on the a-pillar and a few other visual mods, so I managed to get even with him at a light. I asked him what engine he had in the car, and all he could say was 1.8 liter I-4. He didn't know the engine code of the engine, however, so I wrote him off as a typical "ImPOrt TuNeR" and I drove well-mannered the rest of the way home. Fortunately, he didn't try to start anything with me or anyone else, at least, when I wsa sstill in sight of him.
Of course, if he HAD known the engine code, I'd still be clueless as to what it signified...
