Was humiliated by this benzo
I was driving the speed limit minding my own buisness and this new benz flys by me .When I get to the red light I pul up next to him and glance at him and hes like 25ish.He sees me and says ..."ill give you a 10sec headstart" I didnt even want to race him cuz I knew id get smoked but when he said that I was like "Fuc$ it" .So i said ok.As soon as it hit green I gunned it and he chiiled. When I got up to 50 mph about 5-6 seconds later after the green light I look in my rearview and I see him gun it(not the 10secs he promised me ).I swear....like in 5 secs after he gunned it he flew by me going like 75 mph
.
I looked up the stats on his car and I dont think what he did to me coulda been with his car stock....or is it
heres his car

if you say were going 50mph at 5-6 secs, and 5 secs later he passed you at 75mph, you are lying. he would be going about 135-145mph.and that would take a 1.2 60 foot and about 985-1175hp. sorry, ive heard this same story before. you loose buddy.......

that makes your story even more impossible. that means you covered an even greater distance, and he covered this even greater distance in the same amount of time, thus he was even faster than you previously stated. i would sugest that you could possibly have covered 1300 feet and achived about 90mph in the 15 secs it took before he caught you. for him to cover that same distance in only 5 secs he would have had to pass you at roughly 220-250mph! in 5 secs! that would take 4000hp in his heavy car! exageration = deception = a lie.

who knows how many seconds he gave you. maybe it was a couple (1 second seems like a long time when racing) He might have had one of those supercharged E55's. These things are 4 doors and 450 hp. They got the same stats in straightline speed as an 03 ZO6. If your car goes 0-60 in 6 seconds, he could make up almost 2 seconds right there. That makes more sense if he passed you at 75mph. He probably gave you a couple sec head start.

how about this...he gave you a 2 second head start and then passed you 12 secs later at about 112mph while you were going about 85mph. thats believable, because that could actually happen with the acceleration characteristics of the two cars. just dont exagerate. just because the story sounds more exciting, dosnt mean i would sit by idle while an illogical situation is presented to me.

You know veja, its quite possible, that in the excitement of it all, he didnt have time to count exactly how many seconds the guy gave him, how many seconds til the guy passed him, and he didn't happen to be viewing his speedometer the entire time. He was estimating. What is it wil people now a days and are so easy to call bs on you so fast.

the info he gave was inaccurate. period. i simply stated it was not true and could not be true. i dont care if he had the time to count the seconds, he gave us numbers, and the numbers were incorrect. his "estimation" was a horrible one that could not have been. all i want to convay is that he gave incorrect stats on how the race played out. as i said before exageration is lie. if he had not given any numbers, it would have been closer to truth. but since he involved numbers, and i have a understanding of acceleration, i instantly identified his info as false, and impossible.

He got stomped. Considering the stats on the Benz, it wouldn't be too hard to do. Nice cars, but they're expensive.
How about we call it a guesstimation, a rather bad one, and leave it alone? Heck, his Mark 1 Eyeball could need to be recalibrated, I know mine need it...

Actually my car probably does 0-60 in more like 8-9 seconds.
Either way ,I didnt get up to 60 mph .I got up to 50 and then the dude flew bye me goin 75.I dont know how much of a head start he gave me but as soon as I hit 50 mph he was flying by me doin 75mph .After that happened I let go of the gas. Joined: Sep 2003

who knows how fast he was going when he passed you. you can estimate but never really know.
the point is he got a head start and with a few seconds or so, the benz roasted him. LOL

HP/dollar ratings are fine and all that, but I'm sure it would take a lot less money to roast the benz then the difference in vehicular blue-book value. Positive, even. Now, wether or not that actually makes the third-gen a 'better' car, is another story that really has no objective answer. My dad has two MB's, whereas I have two F-bodies. It's all about personal preference and what trips your trigger. You like your F-body, cool. I sure like mine, so I'm pretty happy with them.
Still, what would I do with 65,000 dollars worth of third-gen...?

for that price you can make a thirdgen out perform, out handle, look better and have more luxary in the interior than a benz

I sat in a Maybach at the MB dealership(rusnack) down the street from me and that is one luxurious interior.Even the headlights turn when you turn so you can see better around curves n stuff Supreme Member

Can anyone make a pic like the link above but instead of the MB have a 3rd gen with a 360 view

i wouldnt say that. i think it would hold value well, as long as the car was done up to the upmost quality. sorta like a chip foose kinda build up. attention to detail... and who would care much about the resale value of a car like that? its your custom creation.. 50K into a irocz and you have an amazing car. fine leather interior, race/luxary seats whatever floats your boat. body work to get everything to line up real clean, and fit and finish of parts to be well put together and i see that you can easily pass the refinement of mercedes. mercedes is mass produced, and custom iroc's are not. refinement easily be induced into a camaro and surpass luxary offered by anything under 50grand. all depends on how deep your wallet is

I think the only problem with such interior refinements is increased weight. Look at the GTA. Bells and whistles all over the place. Power this. Adjustable that. Pontiac in particular loves a cluttered inerior, and I kind of like it too - maybe I just got used to it. I sit in a Neon and I'm bored of the interior in a heartbeat. The GTA all but needed the L98 just to get hauling really good, unless you managed to get one that didn't have all the bells and whistles. I'm not saying you can't have both, but you would have to take that into consideration when you built it up, that's all.
