Nothing theoretical about this kind of fun in a third gen!

Looks like you are ever so slightly out gunned on some of that video. Talk about making you push ever so much further.

All that bumping into each other business would have me ready for a fist fight.

Any reason you chose a LT1?

Was that footage from the Nationals or just a regular weekend?

I struggled with power issues all year. Just not up to par. Did a midseason engine rebuild which helped but I still have an issue with being too rich. The Lt1 came in the car when I bought it. Plus the rules of CMC only allow certain engines.

This was footage from different weekends. I couldn't make nationals as my engine was in pieces at that point.

Well, there any cam limitations? Help make a bit more power.

Spotted one of the Car Club guy's 4th gens in several shots in that video. Orange/Blue 4th gen bird CMC car.

Good Music choices.

Not allowed. The motor should make the power it needs to but I need to figure out what is still wrong with it. It is off the charts rich over 4700rpm.

Doesn't happen to be a B-body lt1 running an fbody tune is it?

Cam and heads are different between the two. Cam is much smaller in the bbody.

So, ported heads and a stealth cam are a nono?

CMC is REALLY strict. You have to have dyno sheets every season to prove you're not making too much power. The idea is to keep costs down by keeping the engines mostly stock.

Re: Fun in a 3rd gen
I understand, but pulling timing to lower the reading on the dyno is not big feat. I want an edge, even if it is a small one.

I have run on the Autobahn in a few cars. Good times! I have also helped dyno a few CMC cars at a old job I had.
