I dont care what anyone says....a strong degreaser works well as long as you dont leave it on for too long....spray, scrug, vaccum.

not sure what happend ?

I typed in my blurb and submitted but nothing showed up.

I was trying to say that I found a product called "PRO-Solve" that is basically dry-clean in a can, that works really well on auto carpets.

My test area is the rear carpet of our Grand Caravan. It sees all forms of goo, melted this and dripping that, stuff from McDonald's drive-thru. Previously I have tried about 3-4 name brands on this area (I call it Area 51) and found none of them really work that well. The last I tried was Simonize -- pretty much a waste of time. The Pro-Solve stuff not only cleaned up the layers of sedimented goo and ooze, but returned the carpet to it's factory gray color. I was impressed.

My Firebird has a black interior that pretty much picks up and shows all dust which over time has the effect of whitening the carpets in worn areas. In makes it look like crap. I tried the Pro-Solve on it and voila, blacker than black carpets again.

Just in case any of you out there have this same problem, give this ProSolve stuff a try. I got it from Zehrs (of all places) for about $9.00.

have a nice day,
RP.

Yeah I love using Pro Solve as well. It works great, repels (to some degree) future stains and it smells great!
