It KickA## it pulls like a champ at the higher rpms, and at higher speeds when the tpi would fall on it's face and have a flat pull, this one is smoother accelration, with a smoother pull. Pulls like a champ. You can definitely can feel a difference.

It's cool I almost got a chance to test it against a new SS, but the roads were wet, and I had people with me Oh well I will get my chance soon enough I m heading to the track. Hopefully this Thur. I want to see my 1/4 mile time with it on, I never got a chance to run with my car running right, with my SLP runners and Edelbrock base but hey I finally got it running up to par now though so I guess that all that counts. Hey check out my post to, on the Stealth Ram, Cause the longest part was getting the lines set up. I found a easy and fast way, to do it. Well good luck and feel free to ask any questions. Oh hey one more thing you should want to take off the bracket to lift your motor, its the one on back of your head. Heres the reason why, I was already to go and had the RTV set and when I went to put on the intake, I hit that stupid bracket, and by the time I bented it messed up my seal. I m leaking alittle oil, so I got to yank off the intake to reseal it So just giving you a heads up.

I ran my car this past sunday and was alittle disapointed only a 13.8 @97mph.But I just put a 2500 stall converter in on friday and was mostly praticeing launching with the new converter and in my #8 cylinder my intake valve is not sealing and tapping away. But the mph is just not there for the 63hp power increase of that dyno Doug F posted! The car pulls hard to 5500 where the trans shifts at.Could it be from my one cylinder thats not sealing? Who knows? I have a new set of trickflow 23* heads and 1.6 roller rockers Im going to put on next week if its not so damn hot out. Then well see what happens.

I'd give the intake a fair shot, get the engine squared away and hitting on all 8 cyls and then see what it does. Sounds like you have a good combo except for that #8 problem.

Except for the tapping noise and the low trap speed, what other symptoms are you seeing? That "not sealing" specifically...what do you see? If you have a rocker lashed incorrectly that's an easy fix, but do it quick before you bend a pushrod or damage the cam/lifter/valvestem.

The tapping started about 4 months ago and when I pulled the manifold to change it the #8 intake port (head and old TPI manifold) were black and sooty.

I finally received the 534-186 Holley AFPR rail kit for the StealthRam I ordered the first of May. However, I've already acquired parts and going with a "customized" rail assembly.

It's $215.39 plus $7.95 from Summit or $223.34 total,, so if anyone wants the kit, I'll take $220 including ground UPS shipping within the continental US. Cheaper than Summit and I’ll ship the day I receive your money order.

Stephen from the “drag racing” board has dealt with me in the past,, and I’m sure he wouldn’t mind being a reference for me.

Post you’re e-mail address if you’re interested.

SOLD To KEVIN C!! - Thanks

Did those running the Stealth Ram feel any noticeable low end torque loss?

FYI, I just swapped to a Miniram (with some mildly ported Aluminum L98 heads). I am still "tinkering" with the intake and heads, so I am running a "detuned" eprom. BUT, I am running the stock cam.

All those nay-sayers that said I would loose all my bottom end torque were full of crap. The eprom I am running is not as "advanced" as my original setup.

I will say that the Miniram pulls harder everywhere except a little bit between 3,000-3,500 rpm and not much either. After 4,500 rpm there is no comparison. And after I optimize my eprom, it will flatout beat the TPI EVERYWHERE...all with the stock cam. (I will change that when I have the money to upgrade my tranny, because once I add a decent cam, that tranny is doomed - probably the rear-end too).

Given my experience with the Miniram, I would expect the StealthRam to perform basically the same (maybe a dash more torque at the bottom end maybe a dash less at the top end for the HSR). I am not advocating the Miniram, I am just pointing out the "air flow gains" more than compensate with a free flowing intake than the "hypothetical" loss of bottom end torque. Trust me, I lost NOTHING with the Miniram, it is a good mod on a basically stock engine.

However, due to the cost of a Miniram, I don't think it is a cost effective mod by itself. However, John Millican's "modified" LT1 intake for $400 sure is ($200 if you supply the intake). The differences between the Miniram and modified LT1 intake are not that great. Not enough to justify the cost difference IMO.

Again, I don't have the StealthRam, but I think this "fear" of loss of torque is overrated. The "myth" that you loose bottom end torque with the Miniram is false, and I suspect the same for the StealthRam. If you like it, buy it - it's your ride.
