What engine? I'd bet a dollar you dont need to change it. Its much less of a problem than other parts on a TPI (like the base).

You can get larger throttle bodies from any performance parts supplier you can think of.

Some brands to consider:

BBK
TPIS
Holley
Edelbrock

All these guys for sure and some others which I'm not so sure about (like Granatelli) make throttle bodies for TPI and LT1 motors (both of whick will bolt up, just have minor differences; namely emissions). I'm also not sure about which of these guys make their own TBs (I know Holley does) and which ones modify and re-sell others' TBs (I think Edelbrock's TB is a BBK; dunno for sure).

why would u need a new TB? are u running a motor that would benifit from a 52mm... is it a 350 or 305... i dont mean to get on ur case... there is a lot that u would need to know before u get a new TB... i say if u have a 305.. get a 52.. but dont go bigger... the 52 might take some out of the motor... u have to open up the plienum right after the TB... take out the walls and open up the holes.. check out the tech articals.... also... go to the Northeast Board and go to the BBQ

Think about how cost effective an aftermarket throttle body is. I think they cast upwards of $350, yet you're not likely to see as much of a gain as if you spent that money almost anywhere else(I wouldn't doubt that a $350 car wash and detailing would do you better).

hey bigal, I don't mean to get on your case, but I was just wondering why you don't substitute 'r' for "are" since you're using 'u' for "you"? I never understood that.

Hell i jumped to a 58mm on my 350 TPI but i broke into my plenum shortly after and ported it out to match the TB and shaped it down to get as much pressure as possible through the runner. It was a big difference next time at the track
