Do the speed density cars have a MAT sensor? My TPI air filter snorkel has a sensor in it on the drivers side but nothing is plugged into it. It is notthe orginal snorkel though. Cant I just relocate mine to this hole?

Exactly, I just added in the correct length of wire, the computer knows no differant. I am almost certain that only the V6 plastic deals have the boss for the sensor.

Relocated MATs are only a good idea if you are in the chip. If you don't adjust the MAT tables to go with the relocation you will end up running way rich in cold weather. V6s and vettes that came with 'relocted' MATs from the factory are calibrated differently than f-bodies.

so then it wouldnt be a good idea then if I am running a Ed Wright stage 2 chip and AFPR set at 45psi. I am putting a HSR in soon. Will the engineactually get more air now. I kinda think it wont since the air stillhas to travel i the same way it does with TPI. And if it does get extra air then a relocated MAT sensor may help equal out the air/fuel ratio. RIght?

I doubt Ed Wright includes relocated MAT correction with his chips, but thats a question better posed to him.
As for a relocated MAT as a way to trick the ECM. In short, no, thats not how it works. This isn't 1995 anymore, we are way past using ECM trickery to get it to do what we want.
