I Gots Problems

So, I just bought an 87 TA and the car was stored for the whole winter. It hasn't been ran at all in a few months. I run it now and it has a sputter when it starts to go. When I give it a little bit of gas, it sputters, but when I hit it hard, it goes. Its odd. Any suggestions? Its a 5.0L TPI. I tried Fuel Injecter Cleaner already.... anything?

Try a tune-up if one hasn't already been done.

90% of that FI cleaner is crap so you probably won;t get any to make any sort of difference. I agree with Kt, get a tune up taken care of and a really good visual inspections of all connections and what not. The tune up should do it though...at least we would like to think so.

The only fuel cleaner that matters is that b-12 chemtool stuff. Other than that, I'd pull the plugs and see what they look like. The plugs are the best diagnostic source for our cars... Look for heavy fuel or oil deposits, broken electrodes, white residue...etc

Where do they sell this b12 stuff, and is it direct application, or through the fuel lines ?

have you gotten rid of the old gas it has probaly broken down fill the tank with premium and see if that helps other than that a good tune up can work wonders.
