ZZ4 cam ?

A friend suggested that I get a ZZ4 cam for my L98 TPI (MAF), i've already got the "mild" SLP cam for that block in it, but I don't know the specs on it. Any recommendations for or against the ZZ4 cam setup ? Also, where do I get it ?

check SDPC2000.com

Shaun 90 Iroc this is from THeir catalog not my own mind. Thats what they put in their own words.
$375.00 even. Hey I saw in my LPE catalog that they have a good cam for you as well.

They are a bit cheaper with about the same amounts of lift. These are numbers with the 1.6 rockers.
Looks to be about $60 less than the ZZ-4. 74211 looks to be the better one for you.LPE

The catalog you're quoting is TPIS and the cam is the ZZ-409. That's not the same as the ZZ-4 which is a GM engine/cam. Shaun's listed the correct ZZ4 specs.

You can pick up a zz4 cam on ebay pretty easy for $135.00. I have been looking at them. I'm considering the lt4 hot cam, but I don't want my gas mpg to go way down..

Sounds like you've got a slightly hotter cam in the car than the ZZ4 already. Why go through all that work for so little difference? If you are looking for more power, use 1.6 rocker arms or go to better heads.

You can gain 30-40 hp just by changing the heads with no cam change....... The L-98 heads are not really very good compared to modern heads. The 385hp HO motor is a ZZ4 with the quickburn heads and 1/2 point lower compression. Everyone I have heard from that has run one on a dyno has put out 390hp or better....
