if you dont think you can do it because you dont feel comfortable doing it, have someone else do it because, whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. if you dont think you can do it, pay someone to do it... that way if they mess up, you dont have to pay them until they get it right.

lol, i think im very mechanically enclined but if it comes down to me messing it up or not knowing right away what to do, couldnt i just put a non computer controled HEI distributor in and run the car like that with no electronics hooked up(with the carb setup) i have about 99% of everything i need to know for information wise, as for parts i have everything.

You won't fug up. Go ahead and do it.
It's just about all "idiot proof" (Not saying you are one) jsut encouraging you to do "what you wanna do".
Plan it ALL out ahead of time. Install all the components you can ahead of time.
Install all the wiring/fuses ahead of time.
Install the fuel pump, fuel lines/filter/return line ahead of time.
If you do all these things FIRST, you can drive your car around right up until you make the changover with minimal downtime.
BTW, you can use an inline pump, no problem.
I used the MSD pump from JEGS, about 99 bux and it comes with a FREE 'yeller' hat!
Other than installing a turbine engine in your car, this is the BEST thing you can do for it.
GO FOR IT!!

Just make sure to check, double check, and check everything after you are done. The swap isn't too hard as long as you are dealing with good parts and the right harness it is almost as simple Plug and Play
Ok maybe not quite that easy just be sure to take your time and pay attention to detail when routing wires. Wire ties come in handy and running the Harness correctly and cleanly will help later on when trying do stuff, Hunting through a birdsnest of wires suck so make it a clean install.
just my .02

AHhhhhh!!!
You ALREADY have a pump in the gas tank. DOUBLE COOL.
You ALREADY have a return line then.
More than HALF the pita work is done then.
Doit,doit,doit.
I didn't have a pump or a return line on my 73 Chevy Truck.
Had to run lines, remove the tank, etc, etc, PITA but I HAD to have TPI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and I GOT it. woohoo.

well i have to put in my 9 bolt posi still....and some guy is looking for a T-5 and will trade his T-10 for it so i dont know. im thinking about that transmission because its stronger, but id really like to get a 6-speed, but with my 400 "youd have to buy a special flywheel made for one peice RMS" well that adds up quick especially a price of already 1-2k.... i dont really know what i should do with that. but i think i am all set to be able to put the fuel injection on my car... i wonder how much more power i will be gaining from the LT1 intake(dyno'ed about the same as an accell system) going from my basically stock intake setup, down to the air breather lol! any opinions?

I just removed my 31 year old Q-Jet and replaced it with TPI.
It's a WORLD of difference.
The whole engine operation/power application is sooooo much more smooth.
It pulls a LOT harder too.
It's probably about the equivalent of going from a 2 barrel carb to a 4 barrel carb but better.
I can FEEL a SUBSTANTIAL increase in power and torque.
Wish I had done this long ago......
NEXT is replacing the 350 Turbo-Hydramatic with a 700R4.....
