from the manifold up both are identicle except for the fuel injectors 19lb on the 305, 22lb on the 350, but there are some variations between years.

As far as intake the differences are with the cold start injector, I dont remember what years had them, I think it was 85'-88' ?? not sure. MAF was used 85'-89' and Speed Density 90'-92'. And some of the earlier year TPI's had the alternator on the left and compressor on the right, and vice versa in later years.

I thought TPI was for ~90 and up cars only. I thought everything before was TBI. I'm probably wrong tho

John 89 has the short & sweet answer, just injector size between the "TPI" parts in comparing 305 to 350.

TPI was available in 1985, replacing the L69 as the highest-performance option.

Yea TPI came in 85' for the F-bodys. Also firt year for the IROC-Z. I was mistaken that TPI was in the 84' vette, but ever since then the Vette' has gotten the newest engine one year before the F-body; LT1, LS1.

86 L98 F-bodies are as rare as 83 Corvettes.

I never said they were at dealerships I said they MADE them, regardless of how rare they are, they were produced.
----------
There were only 2 1992 25th anniversary EDITIONS produced, with the vette' cam siamesed runners and ZF six speed, white with black stripes and black GTA wheels.
Thats maybe the rarest thirdgen I think.

It doesn't really matter what they did if they didn't sell it though. They made front wheel drive Camaros with the 3.4L DOHC V6, but as long as you'll never see one on the street, they may as well have never existed.

Production of the 83 Corvette was cancelled over build quality issues with the new tooling for the C4.
