Which cam of these two (LPE) or (GMHOT)?

GM Hot Cam 218/228 .525, .525
LPE 219 with .560, .560 and I beleive 219/219 duration at 0.050.

Whats better for a daily driver with 305, L98 aluminum heads, ported plenum, Accel Runners & intake, 5-speed, and 3.45 gears?

Not sure which would make better power or have better manners. Anyone?

Edit:
Oh, and 1-5/8 headers SLP shorties into exhaust TBD.
Would like to use Hooker Headers long tube...anyone up for a trade?

If you're keeping the 305, then the LPE 219 is a more docile cam. The HOT cam is better for a 350. Be prepared to have a custom computer tune done with either cam.

LPE 219 cam was designed for a 350 ci plus small block with a Super Ram intake....

LPE219 cam would be better for your engine since you have the L98 alumnium heads with the high flow exhuasy ports

Yeah, 15 years ago it was the hot setup. Now, there are more than a dozen cams that will beat it in every department.

(It also was made for the L98 Corvette heads, as well as the SuperRam. My statement above still applies.)

LPE219 is more docile and will work good.

The LPE cam was designed around Lingenfelters extensively ported Corvette heads. The cam is a single pattern which works best with heads that have an intake/exhaust ratio of 75% and above. The exhaust ports on those heads are weak out of the box. If you could at least have them pocket ported, it would do wonders.

Bottom line - run a dual pattern cam (more exhaust duration) with stock unported heads.

I'm running a LT4 hotcam in my 305 TPI with aluminum L98 heads.. was very aggressive until I got some proper prom tuning done, very good combination now. check my virtual garage for mods and videos.
