Fuel Pressure Regulator
I think maybe I need a new Regulator because I can't hold any fuel pressure.
Can someone tell where the regulator is located? I have a 305 TPI.
Thanks

its at the back of the intake manifold underneith the plenum. follow the fuel rails to the back and it will meet up to a block with a black round top, thats your regulator.
what do you mean when you say you cant hold fuel pressure?

Well, we had a pressure gauge on it and it read 0 psi, We started the car it went to about 40 (fluctuating), but when we turn it off it fell immediately to about 10 psi and then gradually dropped to 0 psi again.

it sounds more like a fuel leak more than a regulator problem, 40 PSI is the norm (its actually 42 psi, but those stock ones are so crappy, you get fluctuation and innacurate pressure). mayb one of your injectors has a bad seal, did you do any work to your engine recently?

I had the fuel pump replaced with a Walbro, that's the reason I was thinking maybe the Regulator crapped out because it couldn't take the increased fuel. I'm just crasping at straws right now.
Right now it's at Duyno Don's getting a custom exhaust system and LS1 brakes, but we need to solve this fuel problem first.

Don, if you're still monitoring this thread, the hole in the hose explains why I couldn't hold fuel pressure but not why it was hydraulically locked, or the strong smell of fuel.

I concur, but the reason it popped that hose is because of the kink they put in that line. The fumes must be from the vent that is broke.
