Removing cruise control have any adverse effects?
I don't need, don't like looking at it, takes up space, and with the new engine I will never use it. So I wanted to know if I can just plug that vacuum like and remove the diaphram/cable w/o any adverse effects on driveability/vacuum. Thanks

I've done just that since I can't find a correct length cable for mine since the TPI swap and it runs just fine. Just be sure to keep the line intact to the accumulator or there will be problems.

And the accumulator is that orb under the car on the driver's side right? I am ordering a new one since the little vacuum nipple busted off my original

My cruise module was located down by the radiator as it was originally a TBI car. Since I swapped to TPI the module would need to be moved up to the wheel well and I'd rather kep it by the rad. Supposedly the TPI cars only came this way but I have seen an '88 IROC with it in the same spot as mine and with a cable connecting it to the throttle so I know it's out there, I just haven't found it yet so until I do it sits on the shelf. The TBI cruise cable is too long BTW.

go to www.hotrodlane.cc and get their number and call them. if they don't have the part they will almost certainly be able to give you the part number for GM and you can get it from a dealership. i know i got everything through them but i can't remember if i got the cable from the dealership or from them but they will be able to help you without a doubt!
