Sick TPI.

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my 89 GTA with a 5.7 . When I crank it, it doesn't start, but, when I spray starting fluid into the throttle body it starts and runs fine? We put an injector test light onto the injector plug and it has a weak pulse. I tested the injectors with an ohmmeter and most are bad. our theory is that the bad injectors are robbing power and thats why were getting a weak pulse at the #1 injector. I need to know what the injector ohms need to be at. I've read many post, some say 14 ohms, some say 16 ohms, others say between 13 & 16? My mechanic is convinced that they need to be at 16 ohms and after market injectors wont work. but injectors from GM are $150 a piece any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you Jason.

Re: Sick TPI.

Ford Motorsports injectors are probably the most popular replacement injector for TPI cars. I used 24# SVO Ford injectors and haven't had a problem with them.

I think if you search for "svo" "ford" "injectors" or something like that you'll find a lot of info.

You tested the injectors with them unplugged from the harness, right?
