My GTA is running a 13.86 in the 1/4 its bone stock with 79.000 miles on it,what do I need to beat these mustang cobras,a supercharger, turbo, I need some direction

 

I am finding it hard to believe you are running 13.8 stock Got any slips?

 

I second that. I would be more than willing to give suggestions, it is very hard to believe a GTA which are the heaviest third gens is running that with out some help.

 

I have three slips from saturday 13.86 91mph on a .510 light,was the best run, 14.04 slowest the trans is a TCI but that makes no difference no signs of any motor work other than a EGR replacement and I took the TPI off to clean it out and the EGR port was plugged it was a 1 owner car and ger husband passed so I have no info on this ride

 

Does it have headers?

 

yes it has headers im assuming factory because my 89 GTA had them

Headers arent factory. Who knows what else is going on under there.

 

I appreciate your help,my friend has a 94 Z LT1,the day I bought the car we went out and ran them, out of the hole or from a 20 mph punch he can not hang wth me its always me by a couple of feet,I take it to the track and run the **** out of it and get excellent results ,I will do these add ons instead of a supercharger and see what happens,my town consist of mustang cobras,im the only old school T/A and I want to run these dudes in the pavement,thanks again.

 

I really dont think your car can be stock. 13.8 is just insane for a stock L98. You SHOULD be running 14.4ish at around 96. Maybe you have a cam in there w/ported heads or something.

 

lol proli a cam and a BUILT tranny with gears...theres NO way a stock l98 will run with a lt1 car and run 13.8 or w/e.......sounds like you found sumthin modded with a sleeper look lol.....
