Guys who know about TPI sensore come in for a minute!

Im in a need of Some sensors i need a ESC(Electronic Spark Control) for an 87-89' 305TPI, I went to Autozone,Pepboy with no luck, GM wants $98.00 and ill be damned if i gotta pay $98.00 for a 3x3 inch sensor crap. One more question anyone know what are the sensors called that is located right in front of the Intake manifold for a TPI, I believe theres 2 or 3 there located in front of intake manifold and underneath the Throttle Body thanx

Get the part number from the dealer then go to gmpartsdirect. Just don't expect it to come in a hurry. BTW the part number I have for this is 16128261(may be for 350) and it is 44.16.

The "sensors" in the front of the intake are coolant temp sensor, cold start switch. There is also a third hole that is used for the throttle body coolant feed.

Try a NAPA store. I've come to love their parts, and the one year warranty!

Napa sucks! Our shop gets their parts from there on discount. And we usually have to replace their parts a month or two down the road, because they only last so long. We go through Napa rebuilt alternators like crazy. And your in luck if they even have the damn part in stock. Try Sturdevant's they get better parts and are usually better priced.

sensors on front of intake manifold:

large one: Temp sensor for cold start valve.

small one: coolant temp sensor- looks like air intake temp sensor.

I have some sensors that I don't need anymore:
MAF sensor, ESC, MAF power relay, and MAF burn off relay.
If you need any of these, just send me email with your offer. I'll probably sell em cheap, since I don't need them.

They have the MAF pigtail at PepBoys. I was there yesterday. They had a large selection of weatherpack style connectors for almost every sensor in the car. I was surprised.
MAF pigtail was $10 or $15.

Oh, btw, those girls in my sig are friends of mine, I am a guy.
Sorry to to get your hopes up Cruz'N Bruz'R.

Nope, no MAP sensors on the '85-89 TPI's, or even a vacuum fitting for one (although you could use a Y-fitting on one of the existing vacuum lines).

Yep, mounted on the firewall on the driver's side next to the MAF and fuel pump relays. I replaced mine when I swapped out the 305 for a 355. I used the part number for a 350 since they were different part numbers in the GM parts manual (not sure if the parts are actually different inside).

I also got a MAF extender harness from SLP 'cause I wasn't sure where my MAF was going to be in the ducting.

ok something is going really wrong, Every thing is in, and i mean everything, The motor looks hot, and we started to crank it and nothing so we checked to see if any sparks was going through, it did, still cranks and nothing so my mechanic put a fuel line harness light indicator(which turns bulb on if injector harness is working) and nothing, We went throught the whole wiring and on the passenger side compartment where the computer is theres another wiring with a switch on it, it consisits of 3 wires and one gray switch attached to it, my mechanic says it needs to be plugged or attached to something in order for the harness to send power to the injectors, but where do they connect?? i dont see anymore switches on the computer? my other friend said maybe it mounts to the Fuse box. If it does do i have to rerout the wiring from the passenger side to the driver side? What connects to that switch someone pleas help me i really need to get the car done already.
