Re: 86 iroc cold air intake

thats not a cold air intake, that would be a low restriction hot air intake. The intake you already have is a cold air intake. If you want to cut the baffles under the air box, that would be your best bet. What other mods have you done to your car

A link to some car pics. She has a flowmaster catback exhaust and she is lowered, not sure what engine mods, if any.

Re: 86 iroc cold air intake

I've been wanting to do this for a while. I started thinking about it because I have a carb'd 350, and the only real cold air intakes for them look like a barrel with octopus legs coming out of it.

I realize you have fuel injection, but where I'm going with this is that you can easily make your own, it's pretty straight forward.

Or, here you go.

http://www.knfilters.com/universal/apollo.htm

My plan is to just buy a carb hat from Steve Morris Racing engines and run the Vararam Tri Power, it would work nicely with my Camaro, since the tubing is flexible. I think mounting it behind or to the side of the fog lights would be a good position, so I don't pick up much debris, well, none I hope.

It's all up to you, you have basically limitless options, custom fabrication isn't hard at all when there's flexible tubing.

Hope this helps!
