Ported base pictures(check this badboy out)
In all seriousness, I knew my Supercharged 355 would want as much air as it could get and I didn't want to spend the money on an aftermarket base, just in case I switched intakes...

It looks good, especially the head side. You did a nice job. You might be able to open the runner side a little more but overall I like what you did.

I agree. As limited as the factory casting is, you did open it up quite a lot.

Decided to leave the runner side a little thick because the motor will see over 20 lbs of boost...
As much as I'd like to take credit, I didn't do it. A friend of mine did...

I'm contemplating doing the same thing with my tpi (using an aftermarket base), but I am not sure if the gains will be work it. Does opening up the tpi intake make a big difference with forced induction engines?

Sure it will, theres a lot of meat on the stock casting which is good cause they need help. Did one yrs ago took it to the extreme never got to use it. Changed hands a few times on another forum heard it was used but never got the results sure would like to know who has it now.

Looks good! I port stock TPI bases all the time and I can tell you that there is a lot more material than people think. I'm going to flowbench one soon to show that these can be real competition for aftermarket bases.
