is it bad to....

keep it floored in OD with a 700r4? i just had the transgo reprogramming kit installed in my trans and i can now keep the car floored in OD and i thought i remembered hearing something about it being bad to do that.

I dont think the transgo kit had anything to do with that....maybe a misadjusted tv cable. And no, flooring it in OD wont hurt a thing. But you may want to look into things a bit. You should not be able to do that if your tranny is working correctly. Sorry..

Its supposed to shift down to 3rd if you use over 70% throttle I think.

yeah, but i had the kit put in with the full manual option on it. its just like i have a manual valve body now...

well thats a horse of a different color...I have no idea how it is supposed to act in od with that option......the only thing I know is bad on od is a heavy load re; towing and large inclines..

I don't recommend the full manual option for the street. Since you have it now YOU have to know to downshift the Tranny at WOT.

So say i downshift the tranny at WOT and run 3rd gear out to 5500rpm can i keep it floored when i shift it into Overdrive or will this be harmful on my trans, i just thought i remembered hearing soemone say that its not good for the trans.

Since that is @ the WOT shift point you will be OK. In fact, NOT shifting and running it above that RPM can do harm too.
