Anyone with 305TPI & 700R4 running 4.10 gears?

I am getting a 99 LS1 rear with brakes, LCA relocation brackets, etc..... but it has 4.10 gears and I want to put it on my formula until my trans am is done.
Anyone running this combo?
How bad/good is it running that high of a gear.

thanks

gas mileage goes down the toilet
it wont be too good on the highway (revs high)
serious burnouts though

not going from experience, just listening to a lot of posts about it

also, im takinga guess on this one
it will be out of its powerband a lot quicker
usually it takes the revs up higher therefore more out of a 305/350 powerband

you probably wont be happy with those gears since tpis make all the power down low, traction will definalty be a problem youd be better off with 3.42s or 3.23s

I am going to eventually put the 3.73 rear end on the car when my brother decideds to get his 4.10 rear repaired.
His broke rear is on my T/A, my 3.73 rear is on his T/A, and this new 4.10 rear will eventually wind up on my T/A but I want to try it on my formula.

I don't want to put the new 4.10 rear on my brothers car since he has broken 10 rear ends already.
As a matter of fact, my 3.73 rear that he has now had 3.42's but he broke my gears right after we bolted my rear to his car. Went down the street and the pinion teeth sheared off.

Here is a sample,

I am running a 350 w/ 700R4 with 4.10 gears....

70 MPH is at 2900 RPMS, I make trips from Detroit to Chicago all the time and have no problems.

Gasmilage went from 19 Highway to about 16.

Last year was 13.1 w/ 1.87 60' with 3.45 gears. Will see in a week and a half what it does with 4.10's.

Cool, thanks for the info.
I'll be grabbing the rear this week. I don't know if I am going to put it on the formula though, just sold my OZ wheels.

Give me $350 and your rear end (as long as it has disc brakes and it has 3.27+ gears) and it's yours, just bring it down.
