Non World Class Transmission
Would a non world class transmission be able to hold up to 400hp, 450lbs of torque. Does anyone know of any services that would be able to help me out in buying gears that would be strong enough to hold up to the power. Is it possible to be able to buy gear sets out of Mustangs T5s. any info would be great. thanks

Man that's a lot of juice for that thing I would say no .The amount of money spent on that could be spent on a better foundation , like a t-56 . Some one hear will know for sure . My motor only put's out 350 ft-lb of torque and I am on my second one non w/c . I have heard that if you put a b&m shifter on it it will last longer . But I am savein all my loot for the Viper t-56 so I have to baby till then.

hmm....ok, i didn't think it would be able to hold up power, i wanted to get the t56 transmission, but i didn't want to spend the money on all that, i thought it might be cheaper to find some gears that would hold up to the power and doing the work myself.

I was hopeing TKOPERFORMANCE would read this thred he is the man to ask about that . If you do the work your self it may be a good way to go but , I still think you would be better of with the T-56 or evan the TKO 5 speed . I do not know if TKO has any thing to do with that tranny ,but I know that the 5 speed is bit cheeper then a new t-56 since it's a direct bolt in no mods from what ive read . If you do not have these site's check them out .ddperformance.com www.billygrahscamaro.com kesilerauto.com billy's is a salvage yard .

well, i think i might go with this world class 5 speed that i found, it will do the trick, i mean, i am not using slicks or anything, so it should not matter, cuz i won't hook up, plus i have heard that short throw shifters are a good way to go, plus i am on a budget. this will do for now, til i rebuild my car with my single turbo setup, pushing close to 700whp. but that isn't giong to be for awhile.

A T-56 is a good option too, since they'll handle something like 450 ftlbs. torque which is good - but still not as much as an upgraded T-5. And it'll require other mods...
Get a Pro-5.0 shifter...I noticed an improvement right away with mine.

do u know where i can get that g-force setup at? do u think ni could also get a b&m shifter instead of the pro 5.0, is there any difference, i found one that has an ajustable stop so i don't over shift, its like an extra 30 bucks. but i figured if I use it as a daily driver, and only race once and a while, i should be good.

-believe it or not, ask for "Bubba"
Since I own a Pro-5.0 shifter and not a B&M shifter, I can't say how good B&M is, and I'm not opening up the "which is better" can of worms. That one's been beat to death if you do a search. Hope that helps!
