th350 stall not working

what would cause the trans to be locking up when put in gear?
has a 3800-4200 stall converter from tsi in a 350 turbo but it is locking up as soon as it is put in gear trans was built by jackson performance and everything is new

think i'd call the builder and elt them figure it out if it's all new. my guess would be a valve getting stuck or not working.

I had that problem on a 700r4. I put the TCC valve in upside down. I also had the wrong separator plate gaskets in there. Since I think you are using ath350 then this may not be of any help. Also if the stator one way clutch is not holding in the converter the your stall speed will be lower and you will have almost no torque multiplication. Just some thingds to keep in mind.

yes it locks up and wants to stall out the motor if I hold the throttle a little it wont stall but does push the car
also has very little to, no line pressure

- you've got problems. If you have little line pressure, I'd lean more towards the trans than the converter. If the motor is running, the pump is turning.

I'd start by calling jackson performance and telling them you have little to no line pressure and see what they say.
