A quick search will net you tons of information about this swap. You can use the TH-350 with your current driveshaft as long as the TH-350 is the longshaft (9 inch) tailshaft model. Swap kits are readily available for decent prices. I myself have used the b&m kit and have not had any problems with it yet also I know others using other kits and they seem to perfectly fine as well. The swap is a fairly smooth deal. Good luck!

I am considering doing this to my 92 RS. I was told today that I was too much computer work, drive shafts, brakets, and too much hassel to mess with. Is this true. I am going to get his trani for pretty cheap and 2k miles with a shifter kit and 1700 stall. Should I just get mine rebulit or put this new one in.

Well it depends on what your looking for. If your looking for something that you are going to race with I would say it would be worth the bother but if your looking for something that will just get you around as a grocery getter rig I would fix your overdrive. Just my

I don't know where you got that information from. First AND second gear of the 700R4 are a lower ratio than the TH350. Lower Ratio=More torque multiplication. Not to mention the TH350 lacks OD and a lock-up converter.
The stock 700r4 properly built with late model 4L65E guts, is equally strong to a stock TH350, if not stronger.

One advantage to the THD 350 is the closer ratio between 1st and 2nd gears. Of course the higher ratio 1st gear would probably require a rear end change for max benefit. It's also cheaper to replace/rebuild/upgrade.

My 700r4 went out and it seems that the turbo 350 is the same length but the tail shafts aren't so a can't switch them to mount the torque arm so does any one know what I can make to mount it to the new tranny

Re: 700r4 to 350 turbo?
spohn carries just about any piece of equipment you're gonna need to make the switch between the 700r4 and the 350, including the stuff to hook up the torque arm.
even if you don't buy from there, you can make out a parts list just by looking on the site, and searching around for other prices and/or options.
I honestly don't see the point, you're not going to make enough power out of a 305 to merit the change, any money you "save" in rebuilding the th350 will be wasted on the money spent just installing it in your car, and for what? all you're going to see is less gas mileage, and a slower start off the line. even with a 350 or a 383 making good power, you can build a 700r4 to handle something like 650hp...I just don't see the point. you people talk about racing like these cars are full blown dragsters(some of which, by the way, still use 700r4's), which 90% of the cars on here just aren't. if you're looking for performance, build up what you have. if you're fully intending to strip out the interior of your car, invest in full racing slicks, and switch to alcohol for fuel, then by all means, install the th-350.
by the way, the only "computer" work involved between the ecm and the transmission is when it kicks on the OD, which can easily be bypassed by a vaccum kit you can get off jeg's(I do apologize, I have one, but I can't remember for the life of me what it's called), but that's completely useless information to all of you anyway, as the 350 has no overdrive.
sorry. I don't mean to rant, or disrespect. I just...have an opinion.
