i drove it with full tank of gas to my town and back which is prolly a good 3 mile drive... did it there and back 3-4 times and only took 1/4 - 1/2 tank gas which i couldnt believe it LOL

lol....i didn't mean gas
i was referring to running out of power. the tpi's make the power and torque relatively low in the rpm range(less than 4500rpm) with at best a 3.42 from the factory. i've heard of gus running 3.73's but i would imagine te motor is running out of breath too soon.

that's cool
just hate to think about the rpms cruising around town....lol
as far as the speedo goes, there are several companies that make adapters for such things. i don't believe there are factory speedo gears to make your speedo accurate.

4.56 with a 700r4? That would be about 2900rpm @ 70mph in OD. A TPI car would peak by 125mph. It would move out of the hole, but would basically get beat by 4.3 S10's from 45+mph. - I'd look more into changing the rear end gears back to something that makes sense, if that's actually whats in it. - If not for the sake of performance and mileage, for the sake of the 10-bolt. Anything lower than a 3.73 is asking for breakage in a 7.5 10-bolt.

Try to find you RPO codes and post them. We can tell you what it came with stock. Or you can pull the stamped code off of you rear on the passenger side axel tube around the pumpkin. You may have to take a wire brush to it in that area to see it though. That would be something we could cross too.
