Can anyone confirm this?
"Is your speedo functioning correctly? If it is not, the computer may think you are going faster than you are, and shifting into a higher gear, and then it shifts back to the correct gear after it relizes that it is actually going slower."
Can anyone confirm this statement? My car shifts differently almost every time I drive it, and my speedo does not work because I need a new vehicle speed sensor?

Re: Can anyone confirm this?
Since 700R4s are vacuum controlled, except the torque converter lock up, how would the speed sensor/ECM have any other effect on a 700R4?

Re: Can anyone confirm this?
That would be cool for guys retrofitting them into older cars.
It's been a number of years since I've done a 700R4, but I remember the shift firmness and such having to do with the valve body and how many shims went into the accumulator, plus the proper adjustment of the TV cable.
Should all be pressure based.

Re: Can anyone confirm this?
Everything in a 700R4 is mainly pressure inside (valve body/check *****,etc.)....
