Wouldnt it be easier to just bolt on the f-body tailshaft?

Re: viper t56 trans to bbc third gen
A cost analysis would be helpful.
The hybrid trans. build would be machining + parts.
Divorced torque arm (if applicable) and driveline shortening (instead of just yoke change)
Shifter position. Trans. mount location.
Lots of details. What I'd do wouldn't be necessarily what the OP would do.

Re: viper t56 trans to bbc third gen
im gonna be making my own crossmember with a torgue arm mount.so that take cares of that problem.the driveshaft will need to be shorten but i aready have a driveshaft 1350 yokes on both ends.viper yoke will go on one end and the yoke will go on the diff.

getting rid of the smaller /weaker u joints
as terring into the trans is a no go unless i really neeed to.trans only has 4000 original miles on it since the car was wrecked

Almost. The slave cylinder holes are different size and location.

Re: viper t56 trans to bbc third gen
finally got to working on the car.it seems that the shifter location sit quite a bit further than before .
the viper adapter pilot bearing is the shorter one with the larger hole
and the other one is used when using a adapter plate whit a ls1 t56 trans on a sbc/bbc
