T56 clutch questions,again
I'm planning on changing my slave cylinder as per this thread,
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...ic-clutch.html
and have a few questions i hope someone can help me with.
1- What is the fluid used?
2- I see the present slave line seems to be held in place with a roll pin, do I just drive that out to remove the slave?
3- Do I just put the line in the new slave and drive the roll pin in?
4- Is there any special bleeding info I need to know?
I haven't got the new slave yet, so don't know if it has a bleeder fitting.
Thanks for any help

Re: T56 clutch questions,again
Well I didn't get any answers, but went ahead anyway.
The Cavalier slave cylinder fix worked great, solved the problem , better feel at the pedal, and easier to depress pedal.
Just as others said, works great.

Re: T56 clutch questions,again
That is correct.
If you read my earlier post it states I used a caveleir slave.
If you took a complete closed system out it should be bled already.
Failing that there are some good videos on youtube.

Re: T56 clutch questions,again
I know this thread is a bit old but in the interest in saving someone time, I wouldn't bench bleed a system that was already installed in the car, vacuum bleeding works as good if not better and can all be done without removing anything except the reservoir cap.
Had the roll pin come out of my clutch hydraulics and never bled the system afterwards until today, works like new now.
If you have someone else to push the clutch, you dont even need a vacuum gun, you can pull an easy 15 hg/in vacuum using your mouth.
This works for LT1 style T56 clutch hydraulics without a bleeder screw on the slave.
