REAR END BUILD PROBLEM

So i picked up a posi rear end bare with nothing included like brake lines or calipers etc. So im stuck building it from scratch. Whats a good place to find the brake lines and blovk that they meet up to. Also what brackets am i missing that the caliper brake hoses clip onto. Any pictures of one close up or a blow out diagram would be great. I have picked up new e brake cables ...rotors and calipers with brackets. I have a sway bar i put on. But wondering what more i need as far as brackrts or how the brake lines assemble. Thanks any help is great

Re: REAR END BUILD PROBLEM.

I'm rebuilding a 9 bolt right now. Ordered new steel brake lines and braided lines to replace the rubber ones. Ordered them from Summit. Haven't received them yet. But from the picture it looks like the mounts at the end of the axles come with the set. Mine has rear discs so there is a short rubber hose at
the caliber. Drum brakes wouldn't have that. Just steel lines right to the cylinder. The Center "t" comes with the set too They seemed to have lines for most rears.

The rear end is off a 91 firebird formula and going on my 89 camaro. 10 bolt posi. I also believe its a couple inches longer in width as well. Looking for a kit with the lines, ill be checking out summit as well.

If it is longer then you may have picked up a 4th gen (93-02) rearend. Make sure its what you want b4 you spend money on it.

Re: REAR END BUILD PROBLEM

If you have a 3rd gen rear you can get lines here. I am not sure where the best 4th gen place is.

Re: REAR END BUILD PROBLEM

A '91 rear end is exactly the same width as the '89 rear end. '82 to '92 are the same width. If your rear end is wider then it is not a '91, it's a '93 or later. You must figure out what you have before you can get parts for it. If you order brake lines for a '91 and you have a '93 then the brake lines will be too short.

So now i just decided to get a 3rd gen rear end from a 89 GTA and its complete so we should have less problems. Just need to find brake lines for that rear end. Any suggestions?

I would probably use the link I already provided for 3rd gen brake lines
