I guess I have a leak

I had some fluid leaking from my transmission so I had it looked at and the mechanic tightened up the pan bolts, I think he might have missed something. I brought the car home and it has been sitting for a few days and I "noticed" this when I went out to get in it this morning. I had checked the fluid when I brought it home and it was low so I added some to get it to the full mark, now it is back to the add mark.

Are you checking the fluid when the car is warm & running or sitting and cold

I drove the car and the transmission slipped going into 2nd gear and was kinda rough, I left it at the add mark since I am pretty sure that's where it had been before and it wasn't slipping, does it sound like it's toast?

Pretty funny all this happened after you let a " mechanic " touch it, it could be leaking from anywhere. Dipstick, TV Cable, pan, front seal

I probably used a poor choice of words when I said "he" might have missed something, mechanic is an old friend who works on everything we have owned for 30 years, has a great shop, He worked me in on a busy day for a quick look and got the car on a lift and saw the leak at the pan and thought maybe would solve the problem. I don't blame him, was under there with him, if we had looked harder we might have seen something else. There were a couple of other small leaks but nothing that would put out that kind of spill. I'm curious if the fluid will drain out like that again or if i might have overfilled it even though the dipstick showed full and not over.

Rechecked everything this morning, old gasket looked torn, got a transmission service so have new gasket, fluid, etc. not slipping so hope for best. Ran into my friend James while there, been a few years since seen a couple of these in the air next to each other.
