Quick!!! Need help on shift kit Install

im installing a transgo shift kit, and i pushed the boost valve up into the tranny like it said too. it is above the slot for the snap ring but it doesn't move. it wont go in or come back out. i dont think this should be like this because in the video they could push it up and the spring would bring it down. how can i get it out.

How far up is it? If it is only slightly then put the snap ring in place and new try tapping onto the bottom of the TV Boost Valve and see if it comes back down. You can also try starting the car once it is together as pressure will push it back down. Try to get it back the other way though since it could damage the groove/ring in the process.

yeah, everything for the valve is stuck. the bushing is above the seat for the snap ring. it just wont move up or down. so im goin to put everything back together and start the car. pro-built said to put it in reverse and the valve will pop out. will i have to rev it or anything. how long should i keep it in reverse. is too long gonna hurt it. do i have to take the valve body back off to put the boost valve back.

Well do you feel lucky? If you leave the snap ring off it will come out (you will know by the little dent in the pan!), if you leave it in though you run the risk of damaging the bore. I would say leave the clip off, start it (no you shouldn't have to really rev it) and then when you drop the pan again, take a pocket knife and scrape around the snap ring groove. Often a bur develops there and that is what ends up causing problems.

Don't take this wrong but I know when things start going bad it can get confusing. Did you fill the unit up again?

yeah i filled it back up with tranny fluid. should i just start the car and leave it in reverse. will it eventually engage in gear and blow it out. or can i rev it in reverse. i still have no gears. im getting so pissed, i was thinking of gluing a stick to the bottom of the boost bushing and just pulling!!!!!!
