Problems with my 2.8L V6

My father and I have been working on this car for about 2 months now, trying to fix all the problems with it. We have replaced a good deal of parts, and have no idea why the engine is still acting up. Here is the problem.

The engine is running very rich, .... and when you crank it, the plugs get fouled out. It doesn't start.

If you have any idea why it maybe doing this, please reply.
Thanks much,
Ariene

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it. Make sure that after the fuel pump shuts off that fuel pressure holds. If it drops, it's either leaking back into the tank or into the motor causing flooding.

Oxygen sensor. When they go bad they tend to get "stuck" reading lean, causing the PCM to dump in too much gas.

Do you know how to check for trouble codes?

good advice above...

Does it have hesitation at all or does it start, run rough and foul out? check MAP or MAF (tap on the maf and see if it changes anything)

Have the injectors been cleaned recently? you could have one sticking open and just loading fuel... do any plugs get more fouled that the others? either bank? apply vacum to the fuel pressure regulator and see if that controls the fuel flow better...

do you have a noid light? vacum tester?

Now that I think about it, the oxygen sensor is not causing your problems because the O2 sensor signal is ignored until the car enters closed loop.

Also, can you name some of what you have already replaced so we dont name a part that you have already tested/replaced.

Welcome to TGO, stick around, youll learn alot, and give us some time, well figure the problem out

ok here is the list of everything we have done to this car.....

6 new fuel injectors
MAF sensor
O2 sensor
TPS
EGR (whole system)
spark plugs
wires
cap
rotor
new fuel pump
fuel filter
air filters
New Radiator and Hoses
Temp sensor
New belts
IAC valve
PCV valve

Well that is about it, maybe some other smaller things, but this should be about all things.

So what do you think it is?

Check the coil and spark. Along with the ICM, pickup coil, and quality of the distributor.

Mine had sat a while before I got it, all the parts inside the distrib were rusted, and not functioning properly

Recheck timing & tps. Mine ran super rich, didn't foul out the plugs, but I got soot blowing out the tail pipes.

Pop the hood in the dark and check for spark leak around the coil.

The charcoal fuel canister still comes to mind. Its gotten a bunch of people in the last few months.
