Might I suggest shotpeening the rods, knife-edgin' the crank, lighten up the valvetrain - lightweight pushrods, titanium retainers, etc... also go with a bigger cam (more around 220º @ .050, with about .510" lift) and more around 9:1 cr (slightly domed pistons), custom tuning, and extrude hone the hell outta the intake.

Should see close to 200-210 hp N/A on a 3.4!

Also, 2.5" mandrel catback exhaust!

Cross drill the crank and put leadin groves on the mains. Modifiy the main beraings and float the piston pins.
If you go with a bigger cam and more RPM's baffel the oil pan.

Grind the rods, I'll post picture on my car domain site of my newest rod mod.
I'm also going to ballance them to about 0.1g becasue I have nothing else to do when my Ohais gram scale comes in.
On page 7.

Balance to .1g? If I had my own scale, I'd have every single one of those rods balanced perfectly. .0g (Well, realistically, as close to that as possible - it's nice, because you can take as long as you want to work on it!)

Did you end up getting a 3.4? Or did you get a 2.8 block?

Get your engine custom ballanced because my stock rods are different by up to 2 or 3 grams.
I got my gram scale today also.
I will wait till I get my rod bolts to ballance them to less than 1.0 gram becasue the bolts could different by as much as .1g or more and same thing for the bearings, but I have to get the crank before I get bearings.
