If you are in smog state, no.

If you are not in smog state, yes.

edit: you guys just need to move to NC...no testing, no CARB EO#'s, just a visual check to see if everything is on the car...(usually they don't really look very carefully either)

if they don't pop the hood, it shouldn't matter. get teh headers coated to retain heat in teh them, not the engien bay. this will also keep teh cat heated up & let you have better results at the sniffer test.

better yet...move to florida...no inspection whatsoever. u will have to get rid of the AIR system. the pacesetters only have the EGR hook up, but im not sure if it will fit the 3.1 EGR as it is different than the 2.8. buy them through summitracing.com. they r a lot cheaper. it may say that they wont ship for like a month, just call them and they can have them drop shipped from pacesetter and u will have them in less than a week. also get the felpro exhaust manifold gaskets.

if you r doing the install urself be prepared for some broken bolts in the heads. summit also sells stage 8 locking header bolts for like 40 dollar. if you choose a shop to do it be prepared to pay more for the install than u did the headers.
