It is a dark day...the RS is sold

Its still sitting in my driveway, and it will be for another 2 weeks. My ex-girlfriend is giving me $4,000 for it, so that was right where I needed to be with regard to price. And if I play my cards right, the hottie little ex may not be an ex anymore

Regardless though, this sucks a*s. I feel like I'm selling part of the family. How many of you have had your thirdgens lying around for 12 years??? So what's my incentive for doing this? The fact that getting $4,000 for my car will give me a total of $8,000 to spend on a sweet GTA, IROC or Z28. I have a feeling when a TPI is under foot, life will be good

I'm taking Tom's advice though...I'm holding onto the window sticker, dealer ad, RPO codes (I took my factory console out when converting to PW), and the original floor mats (never been used, and will be great for shows if I get a grey interior with my next car).

The way I look at it, I'll still see the car almost every day, I'll get to drive it, and she ain't the type to beat it. Who knows...if I'm lucky, I can get the IROC and the girl. And tell me, how many of you would love to date a hot blonde driving a mint third gen???

That's what I thought....

LOL Actually, I must be psychic, because an hour after posting the original post, we were like on the verge of getting back together.

Don't laugh.
I met my Wife because of her 1968 Camaro. That now goes to our Son, in 15 1/2 years!!
I have a 1967 RS/SS Camaro Convertible 4-speed 350.
She ain't blonde (in my eyes, she's better than a blonde), she could be if she wanted to be, but, man, does she have those sweet cheeks

True! My girlfriend had an '87 Camaro when we met; now she has a '94. Both are V6's! I always wanted a girl with a Camaro/Firebird!

Hehe...sounds like this isn't a unique situation then!!!

Yeah, its pretty cool...she's always loved that car. I remember when we were together for the first time about a year and a half ago, our first date she said "What, no power windows??"...I fixed that problem

She ain't officially mine just yet....still got a few things to work out. But hey, the only thing better than keeping my car and buying a Z is to sell it to her, and she can let my sorry @ss drive it

I'm gonna miss the car like hell, but I know she's gonna take care of it. If she don't, I'm gonna kick her butt good

Man, I think I should get a girl. I have my car, Megan, and she loves me. No, really, she does. She was the only one that sent me a valentine *sniffle*

Since the age of 5 and watching Knight Rider I've wanted one of these F-Body cars. Then I met the IROC-Z and decided I liked that just as much as the firebird and could save a packet by not turning into a KITT. 16 years later....16 years of wanting, dreaming...and now I have her. HaHaaa Still don't have an actual female of the bhuman variety though.

It comes down to the same decision. Would I rather strip the small block chevy or a female? Man, I keep thinking the chevy.

...maybe I should get out more.

Rob

A short, but pointless reply.

Heh... hate to say it, but right now, I've got the same train of thought... it could be that my 3.4 is almost ready to be dropped in.... or it could be that the last girl that I've had (well, still have...) strong feelings for let me get in her pants and then proceeded to put me on lockdown I just wish she'd give me a friggin chance to tell her how I feel... But nooooo.... can't call me or meet me somewhere... can't be home when I call her... Ok... I'm done rambling... sorry.

Hey man, i feel ya on that one. It wasn't the last one tho, it was the next to next to next to last one. I still love her, but she's engaged. Was then too..... She was my BEST friend for 7 months, then SHE made a move on me, and yah, well...you know. Then she put me on lockdown, and moved to be w/ her fiance, who she told me she's not even sure she wants to marry...especially not at this moment. She may go to Paris for the summer just to avoid him. Ah well, life's a Bltch.
