Money and patience. I've seen such beautiful 3rd gens out there I wish I had about 6-7 grand on me all the time just in case the right one comes along. Pull up to him at the stoplight and ask if he wants to sell

Convetibles.
Love 'em.
Got one in a 1967 RS/SS 350 Camaro Convertible 4-speed.
Your choice sounds real nice, too.
DON'T LAUGH ABOUT ASKING SOMEONE AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT!
That's how I got my High School car. A 1966 Corvette 2 top, Convertible 4-speed.
I was very happy, this was back in 1972-1975.
My Dad asked the guy, as we were in the middle of the traffic intersection. He was going one way, we were, the other way. He just pulled it outta winter storage, literally.
He wasn't into it anymore.
It'll happen for you, too!
Love Maryland/Delaware beach cities. Many happy memories. Many.

if i was aloud id get a roc no question, or even that mustang GT if i found no camaros, but i need a V6. one the insurance for a 16 year old in a V8 is INSANE, 2 the gas milage since im only gonna be making minumum wage and cant repair the car myself, and 3 because my dad is buying the car. he owns www.winkelly.com (manager, not owns sorry) and he drives V6 and V8 camaros all the time. he knows how i drive, and he knows if i have a V8 ill be too tempted to race/burn out or do something else stupid, so with a 6 ill be alot more safe

Why don't you try www.autotrader.com. That is where I found my camaro 2 weeks ago. They have lots of camaro's listed.

i guess i never thought of that before but i have never seen a v6 ragtop. i suppose you could get one but i have never seen one. just get a 305 auto convert, they aren't that fast. just put a good sounding exhaust on and leave the rest alone. i have an iroc and my insurance wasn't that bad when i was 16 (i'm only 19 now) my insurance company gave a small discount for good grades which helped. and fuel mileage shouldn't be too bad. the thing i hate most is when parents won't let their kids get a v8 car, be camaro, mudstain, firebird, or whatever. you can get killed in any car regardless of what engine it has. when my parents let me buy and soup up my IROC some people thought my parents were giving me the keys to my coffin. but ya know what i was a responsible kid and behaved myself. i got on it and did burnouts and stuff, but i can do that in my S-10 too. i was smart about it, i didn't street race (just stoplight sprints) and i didn't go super fast, aka 140mph. if you are a competent driver you will be fine in any car. it really pisses me off when parents think v8 cars are so dangerous and v6 cars are not. i guess that is enough of my spouting off
