Fast cheap mod.

I have been going up and down trying to think about what would be a good cheap mod to do to the V6. Most of you know the mods I got but if you don't here they are...RAM AIR intake, flowmaster muffler, no cat, T5, 8.5mm wires. Ok so now I need a good cheap mod that I can FEEL. I'm not talking about a chip. And really I don't want gears and anyways don't they just take the power you have and spread it around some? Not really giving it a better edge. I was thinking about what Graeme did and get some rockers but Graeme didn't you say that they don't make them anymore? What should I do guys?

And on a side note, this guy with a 94 Eclipse GSX is talking crap. How fast are they?

Get a grinder bit, take your heads off and gasket match the ports.. Cost to you might be 30 bucks with bits and gaskets and you should feel the power.... Also spend a few more bucks and get them hot tanked so they are real clean. If you want to get real wild toss on new valve springs and new rockers and lifters...

I thought you only had a Z-28 Exhaust. When did you put flows on you V6. I didn't know you had already gotten it back. What happen to the 4th genner?
Personally I think you should hold out spending any more money and just save for the Turbo 6 thingy that you wanted to do.
Gears dont add more power true, but they Multiply the power and give your engine a mechanical advantage to move the weight of you car easier. It will show up more than most any other mod other than Forced induction of some sort.
Anyways if you go with rockers make sure they are full roller and increase lift ration. Ineffect you are installing a slightly larger cam and decreasing resistance in your valve train. You will notice this more at High RPMS though.

Tas, please explain how a 200hp AWD car can break the 11s. I hope you are talking about modded ones. If so this guys only mod is K&N filter. And he did something that is like free that gave him 2 or so PSI (Woooo!)

Anyways do you think I got him?

One more thing..if your not going to take the 14 hours or so to install them, they'll charge u 500 or so to install them...setting valve lash is a bitch.. ALso..GSX's are a LOOOOOT faster than u may think...

I've seen this guy in action. He was behind me once while I was in the blue 3.1 and he got next to me and flew past me. Wooooo, way to be a sport. I just can never seem to find him when I'm in the Z. And you guys I raced him from a dead stop in the 3.1 and I jumped AHEAD because I can run my V6 with the T5 better than most anything I get in (but don't get me wrong, he raped me about .5 seconds after I jumped ahead). I try that **** with the 5.7 and I'm all over the place. Its a little more trouble to keep them planted. But IF I can get him off the line I have him (hell I think if I don't get him off the line I will chase him down).

Just hope that GSX is fairly stock. Matter of fact, I've just seen one last night, all riced out and crap. Sounded like a lawn mower on steroids but it was definatly fast. I got a chance to get ahead to peek at the front. Dood had a huge intercooler and I could tell he upped the turbo cuz of the major lag and then the sudden burst. Prolly would have done low 14's cuz he was out fast.

turbo on it actually goes up alot more than 2 psi or so as Monkie said earlier. jThey come 10 psi stock and can easily go up to 18 psi on a stock turbo with a larger intercooler(15 on a stock intercooler). I'm in love with turbos, my bros got a 88 t-bird turbo coupe that has a 2.3 4cyl in itt with his boost at 18 and a larger intercooler, her runs 15 flat ina 3450 lb tbird, so if this eclipse which is 3000lbs has his boost turned up... watch your *** , even in a z you'll have to drive to you'll full ability, dont give him any slack. Good luck if you race win won for us!!

yeah gsx's haul *****. i am glad you beat him that one was mostly stock so no biggie. my sis's boyfriend has a 98 gsx with 440 hp and it hauls major *** . i love that car cuz of it's take off and cuz it beats z06's and vipers. and yes he has raced both . he beat a red z06 that i am friends with the driver and then there is a guy that has 3 vipers here cuz he races them and he got his *** spanked badly. my sis's boyfriend also has a 720 rwhp supra and u definetly need to watch out for this one. he made his own turbo kit for it and it has just about no lag. it is very quick and can spin the tires through all six gears and no brakes. just ramblin on here but imports are fast but i love v-8's and v-6 cuz i have both but beware of imports just not honda's.

future mods:msd 6al, hei upgrade, and my wolverine cam to be installed, and march underdrive pulleys and a bumpin stereo.
